Central China Normal University Wollongong Joint Institute, leveraging the distinctive platforms such as the "National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning" and the "Digital Media and Visualization Innovation Base" at Central China Normal University, introduces the internationally leading curriculum and robust faculty of the University of Wollongong. It is dedicated to the development of key industries at both the national and Hubei provincial levels, as well as the technology R&D of the Optics Valley industrial zone. Computer Science: This course aims to train high-level engineering and management talents who have a systematic understanding of the fundamental theories and advanced technologies in the field of computer science. Graduates will be capable of engaging in research, design, development, and management within the computer science domain.

Communication Engineering: This course aims to cultivate high-level engineering talents who systematically grasp the basic theories and professional knowledge in the field of communication engineering. Graduates will be capable of conducting theoretical research and application development in electronics, information technology, network and communication, and can engage in research, manufacturing, and operation in the communication sector.

Both courses adopt a combined approach of systematic theoretical coursework and engineering practice, with the University of Wollongong responsible for ensuring teaching quality. The professional subjects include the entire curriculum of the University of Wollongong and part of the corresponding courses from Central China Normal University, all taught in English. Emphasis is placed on engineering practice, with each course featuring project or practical components. Students are required to engage directly in engineering project practice, complete necessary tasks such as technical solution design, development, and project management, and write theses or reports based on their practical achievements.
