Teaching and Governance
Dr. Zhou hastaught various subjects in computer science and software engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Wollongong, such as CSCI103 Algorithms and Problem Solving, IACT303 World Wide Networking, CSCI318 Software Engineering Practices and Principles, CSCI319 Distributed Systems,CSCI311 Software Process Management, and CSCI926 Software Testing and Analysis. Dr. Zhou is a Director of the Bachelor of Computer Sciencedegree and has strongly contributed to articulation activities for overseas institutes.
Research and Professional Activities
Dr. Zhou has been invited to serve as a reviewer and advisor on software engineering to the Air Force Office of Scientific Research of the United States Air Force, an international reader for the Australian Research Council, and a reviewer for the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. Dr. Zhou has been a Program Committee member for various international conferences on computer science and software engineering, and a reviewer for various international journals. Dr. Zhou has been invited twice togive lecture tours at Baidu Inc.’s Beijing headquarters, and to give research seminars at IBM and Taobao Co. He is the lead guest editor of the Journal of Systems and Software, Special Issue on Test Oracles.
Dr. Zhou has published in top journalssuch as the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, and has been awarded both national and international competitive research grants from the Australian Research Council and from Microsoft Research.
