The successful development of persuasive systems requires a combination of design, social science, and technology. The Persuasive Systems Design (PSD) is a well-known conceptual framework that was presented by Oinas-Kukkonen and Harjumaa in 2009.In this lecture, we will discuss the PSD design principles and look at their application in the health domain. We will further discuss the design and evaluate the content and functionalities of mHealth applications that can elicit users’ motivation for behaviour change.
