The gentle breeze beneath Mount Guizi and along the shores of South Lake has swept through countless days and nights of devoted study in the laboratories.

As the summer sunlight once again filters through the gaps in the leaves,

the youthful chapter for the Class of 2026 graduate students at the Joint Institute has reached its most magnificent finale.

Words from the Graduates

Zhao Qiming

Class of 2026, Computer Science

Bound for Zhejiang University for Ph.D. Studies

Looking back from the threshold of graduation, these two years have felt as fleeting as a white steed passing a crevice, yet profoundly etched in my memory for a lifetime. We once debugged code late into the night in the lab and cheered each other on in the early mornings before exams. Those seemingly ordinary days have now become the most brilliant footnotes in our youth.

At JI, we gained far more than just professional knowledge. The unique teaching system here has honed our problem-solving skills, while high-intensity teamwork has taught us how to communicate, trust, and persevere. Every late-night study session, every clash of ideas, and every moment of transitioning from confusion to clarity is the truest form of growth. Even more fortunate, we met mentors and peers here who are worth being grateful for a lifetime.

Today, some are pursuing further studies, some are entering the workplace, some are staying in China, and some are going abroad. But no matter where we go, we will carry the courage, vision, and strength bestowed upon us by JI, galloping across the wilderness of life and shining in our respective lanes. May we never forget the original aspirations we made by the shores of South Lake, and may we continue to maintain our passion and bravely chase our dreams in a broader world.

The two years of graduate school have passed in the blink of an eye. Looking back on my days at JI, my heart is filled with gratitude and reluctance to part. This journey was not only about accumulating professional knowledge but also a continuous exploration of self-growth. As a student in Computer Technology, I was exposed to cutting-edge technical concepts and an international training model here. From structured academic coursework to independent scientific research practice, and from hands-on project development to full thesis writing, every challenge has been highly rewarding. In particular, the process of completing my graduation thesis gave me a profound understanding of the rigor and challenges of research, while also sharpening my independent thinking and problem-solving skills.

I am deeply grateful to the Institute for providing an open and inclusive learning environment. Thank you to all the professors for their meticulous guidance in my academic and research pursuits, helping me constantly break through my limits. Thank you to our counselors for their care and support, making our graduate life fulfilling and warm. And thank you to my classmates and friends; through countless discussions, collaborations, and companionship, we shared this unforgettable time.

I sincerely wish JI continued prosperity and greater glory. Wishing all the teachers smooth work and good health, and may every graduate chase their ideals toward a brilliant future.

Time flies, and my graduate studies at JI are about to draw to a close. Reflecting on this academic journey, my heart is filled with gratitude and nostalgia. The moments of repeatedly discussing course projects, the days spent researching and refining my thesis, and the experiences of striving alongside my classmates have all become precious memories of my growth.

I am grateful to the Institute for providing an open and diverse learning platform, and to our professors for their rigorous and responsible guidance. Whether it was the inspiration in class or the patient instructions during the research process, I have benefited immensely. At the same time, I want to thank my classmates and friends who have been by my side. In the process of learning and growing together, we encouraged and supported each other, leaving behind many unforgettable memories of this academic journey.

JI has brought me not only an enhancement of knowledge and abilities but also taught me to face the future with a firmer and more composed mindset. Graduation is not an endpoint, but a new starting point in life. I sincerely wish the Institute continuous development, and may every JI student march forward steadfastly on the path they love, reaping their own brilliance and growth in the future.

Chen Xi

Class of 2026, Telecommunications Engineering

Joining Kingsoft Office (Wuhan) Co., Ltd.

The two years I spent at JI have been an exceptionally precious and beautiful journey in my life. Being on the CCNU campus, I have been immersed in both a warm, humanistic atmosphere and a rigorous, solid academic environment. These two years have not only comprehensively honed my professional skills but also facilitated my personal growth and character development in subtle ways.

I still remember feeling quite anxious and lost when I first enrolled, facing an uncertain future. However, by keeping my feet on the ground in my studiescompleting every course with care and polishing every projectI gradually shed my insecurities and built my confidence. Every little step has become an unforgettable memory in my heart.

I am deeply grateful to my masters supervisor, Professor Zhao Jinhua, and all the professors who taught me with such dedication. The pragmatic, pioneering academic attitude and earnest teachings of the faculty at JI have made my academic journey truly fulfilling. I also want to express my special thanks to my classmates and close friends who have been by my side. Their support, companionship, and encouragement have added bright and beautiful colors to our youth.

I am deeply grateful to have crossed paths with JI, and I will cherish these memories forever. I wish JI continued success, and may every classmate have a brilliant future.

Chen Eryue

Class of 2026, Telecommunications Engineering

Joining the Hubei Center of the Patent Examination Cooperation (PEC) Center, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)

Time flies, and my two-year academic journey at JI has become one of the most precious memories of my life. I still recall the anticipation and slight nervousness when I first stepped onto campus. Together, we adapted to the pace of all-English instruction, revised projects over and over, and stayed up late to prepare for exams. We also shared meals in the cafeteria and took evening strolls on the sports field. These seemingly trivial yet warm moments have pieced together my one-of-a-kind youth.

Here, I gained not only professional knowledge but also learned how to handle pressure, think independently, and collaborate with others. None of this growth would have been possible without the meticulous guidance of our professors, the care from our counselors, and the companionship of my classmates.

In the future, I will carry the knowledge and courage Ive gained at JI as I stride toward my own path. I wish all the teachers smooth work and success in nurturing the next generation. May the junior students cherish their time on campus and make the most of their youth. And may our beloved JI continue to thrive and grow!

Time flies, and my two-year academic journey at JI has passed in the blink of an eye, becoming a precious and unforgettable memory on my educational path. As a Telecommunications Engineering student, I deeply appreciate the Institute's teaching model that seamlessly integrates theory with practice. Our classes were never confined to textbook knowledge. The abundant hands-on experiments and group projects made abstract concepts, such as communication principles and network signals, vivid and engaging. Through these practical collaborations, I have solidified my professional foundation and honed my ability to solve real-world problems.

I am deeply grateful to our professors for their meticulous teaching and patient guidance, and to our counselors for their warm care and silent dedication. I also feel incredibly fortunate to have walked side by side with like-minded classmates. Together, we tackled exams, polished our projects, and spent two fulfilling and wonderful years. In JI's free and pragmatic academic atmosphere, I have continuously grown and gained a clearer understanding of my major. In the future, I will stride into my new journey carrying the knowledge and confidence I have gathered here. I wish the Institute continued prosperity, our teachers great success in their work, and our junior students to cherish their youth, embrace hands-on practice, and reap growth and transformation at JI!
